The G500 gaming mouse also comes with a set of weights that allows you to customize  the feel of the mouse while in play. You can fill the weight cage with a combination of the included 1.7 and 4.5 g weights up to a total of 27 g.
Looking at the ergonomic side of the G500, the low profile allows for comfortable hand and finger placement. The palm rest is a bit wider and somewhat raised which adds to a more natural calm grip. The sensitivity buttons are now in the upper left, versus in the center below the scroll wheel, which allows for quick DPI switching while gaming. Speaking of the scroll wheel, there are two modes that you can operate it in. Most gamers will love the precise click to click scrolling, and then switching to the frictionless “hyper-fast” scrolling for web surfing. A cluster of three buttons on the left side allow for effortless control with the thumb. The bottom of the G500 allows for effortless gliding and contains a slot where the weight rack is slotted in.
